Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative position and hired three people: an Admin. Officer (GM-13), an Assistant Admin. Officer (GS-13) and a Legal Secretary (GS-08). | Es naht so langsam wieder die Bettelbriefsaison. Da kann ich dann den kümmerlichen Rest meines Depots elegant entsorgen... Wie hieß doch noch diese amtliche Zentralstelle in Berlin, wo man anfragen kann, welche Organisationen echt karitativ sind und welche nur Abzocke ? (evtl. Link ?) Gruß JR |

| Wer sich in der Umarmung des quasi-Monopolisten Micro$oft nicht ganz wohl fühlt und mal gucken möchte, wie es auch anders geht (oder schlicht sparen möchte [Schwaben - herhören!! ;-)) ]): bei http://opensource.region-stuttgart.de/ kann man umsonst eine CD (Knoppix 3.3) bekommen mit - Betriebssystem Linux (Debian 3 / 4), - grafischen Desktops zum Aussuchen, - tonnenweise Anwendungsprogramme: z.B. Open-Office-Suite; DFÜ (auch DSL); Browser (Mozilla, Konquerer); Malprogramm GIMP; ...; ... CD ist auf fast allen Rechnern bootfähig: einlegen, neu booten, abwarten - fertig! (bei ganz alten Mühlen über eine kleine Startdatei auf Diskette.) Dabei läuft alles über die CD und den Arbeitsspeicher; das Sytem auf der Festplatte oder der Bootmechanismus werden nicht beeinflußt! (Allenfalls bei < ca. 100 MB RAM wird versucht, auf einer FAT-Partition mit freiem Platz eine Auslagerungsdatei einzurichten. Diese kann nach Ende der Linux-Sitzung einfach gelöscht werden, kann aber auch problemlos draufgelassen werden. Viel Spaß! JR P.S. So läßt sich auch was gegen die Inflation tun ! ;-)) |
