Was vielleicht auch eine ganz nette Sache werden könnte :

Boomerang Tracking Inc (Toronto:BMG.TO)

telematic features.''

There are over 560 million GSM subscribers in the world today. This system accounts for
over 70% of the world's digital market and almost 66% of the world's wireless market. With
the vast coverage offered by the GSM network, this Boomerang provides the Company
potential entry into markets on all continents.

The Boomerang is a device that can be hidden in vehicles, marine craft or heavy equipment
machinery. To date, the company has recovered over 1,150 vehicles and heavy equipment,
totalling more than $59 Million CDN.

Boomerang Launches Second-Generation Device Providing Instant-Theft Notification Services

Toronto, Ontario

An agreement with wireless service provider Bell Mobility provides the platform for
deployment.

Many zealous reporters and members of the insurance industry today experienced the live
tracking of a stolen car. This adrenaline- boosting chase was plotted by Boomerang
Tracking Inc. (TSE:BMG - news), Canada's leading provider of asset protection and
recovery technology, who was introducing a second-generation Boomerang - the
Boomerang2®. This latest development is possible through Boomerang's service agreement
with Bell Mobility, Canada's leading wireless provider.

``Boomerang2 has been developed to offer instant response to a theft'', says Andre Boulay,
Vice-President, Technology and co-founder of Boomerang Tracking Inc. ``This second
generation Boomerang will immediately send a signal to our trackers of any unauthorized
movement of a vehicle and will consequently reduce dramatically the response time of our
in-house tracking teams. In fact, Boomerang will now know that a vehicle is stolen before
the owner is actually made aware. This is why we have coined this new Boomerang the
intelligent vehicle recovery system. As we roll out Boomerang2, we will offer additional
telematic services to our customers beyond vehicle tracking.

Boomerang2 is a proprietary device that will only be installed in passenger vehicles and
trucks in the first phase of its launch. The owners will be given two transponders for each of
their vehicle's keys. If the vehicle is moved without the transponder, Boomerang2 will send a
theft signal identifying itself to the Boomerang Tracking team. Immediate steps will then be
taken to recover the stolen vehicle. Boomerang2 can locate assets wherever they may be,
including those underground or inside a metal container, within one foot of their location
using Boomerang's own in-house tracking team.

``The original Boomerang Tracking System boasts a 95% recovery rate and we have been
able to maintain this high level of success as the Company continues to grow exponentially.
The 5% of unrecovered vehicles is primarily due to the fact that owners of Boomerangs
must notify our central should their vehicle be stolen, therefore providing thieves with a head start. It is also the consequence of
customer fraud, a problem that insurers are continuously contending with,'' says Peter Lashchuk, President and CEO of the
Company. ``We expect that Boomerang2 will provide a solution to increase our rate of success as we will be able to respond
immediately to theft. Business travelers and individuals who leave their vehicles parked in public areas for extended periods of
time can now rest assured as they know their property is well protected even when they are away.''

The Boomerang Tracking System is supported in Canada by police and law enforcement representatives and by over 30
insurance companies which, in most cases, either mandate or recommend the installation of the Boomerang tracking device in
high-end and high-risk vehicles and equipment, and provide discounts for its installation. To date, the Company has enabled the
recovery of over 1,250 vehicles and units of heavy equipment, estimated at a total value of more than CDN $62 million.

Boomerang2 will be sold through authorized and certified dealers in Ontario and Quebec. All activations will be done through
the Company's new e-commerce activation platform which allow authorized retailers to process new orders at the point of sale.

Boomerang Reports Record First Quarter Results

Montreal, Quebec

The Company is now poised for entry in the U.S.

* REVENUES UP 69% TO $4.1 MILLION * NET EARNINGS UP 31% TO $0.6
MILLION * EPS UP 29% TO $0.027 * OVER 69,000 BOOMERANG® UNITS
ACTIVATED TO DATE

Boomerang Tracking Inc. (TSE: BMG - news) recorded revenues of $4.1 million for the
first quarter ended July 31, 2001, representing an increase of 69% compared to revenues of
$2.4 million for the same quarter in the previous year. First quarter net earnings grew to
$0.6 million from net earnings of $0.4 million for the same quarter in the previous year. New
activations of Boomerang units rose by 47% in the first quarter to 11,763 from 7,983 in the
comparable period of the previous fiscal year. Earnings per share increased by 29% to
$0.027 for the quarter ended July 31, 2001 from $0.021 for the same quarter in the
previous year.

``This quarter marks record revenues and activations for Boomerang'', said Peter Lashchuk,
President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. ``This growth is attributable to the
substantial increase in the Company's subscriber base as well as Boomerang's commitment
to meet customer needs through strong marketing initiatives. In addition, the Boomerang
device, with a 95% recovery rate, offers a unique solution to a real problem unmatched by
other device in the marketplace today.''

``As announced on September 24, the Company has developed a new Boomerang device
operating on GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) networks in order to
provide instant theft notification services using this platform. We are extremely pleased with
this progress as it provides Boomerang access to the most widely deployed wireless
communication networks'', continued Mr. Lashchuk.

As a first measure, Boomerang has signed an agreement with Cingular Wireless LLC, the
second largest wireless carrier in the U.S providing Boomerang access to the largest market
for asset tracking in the world. With the vast coverage offered by the GSM network,
Boomerang is now poised for international expansion.

``As a first step towards entry into the U.S., Boomerang continues to achieve growth while controlling operating costs and
investing more in key areas of the Company, namely in customer service, sales and marketing, information technology and
research and development'', said Jacques Deforges, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. ``As the Company's subscriber
base grows, an increasing proportion of the Company's revenues are derived from monitoring fees, providing a more stable
flow of recurring revenues than that derived from product sales. This factor, coupled with limited capital expenditure
requirements for growth, is what makes Boomerang's business model solid and sustainable as the Company expands
geographically.''

The Boomerang device can be hidden in vehicles, marine craft or heavy equipment machinery. To date, the company has
recovered over 1,150 vehicles and heavy equipment, totalling more than $59 million.

Progress in Ontario

With the Canadian auto theft epidemic on the rise, and with Ontario being the largest province in Canada, theft is a real concern
in this province. Ontario now experiences the highest rate of theft with almost six vehicles stolen every hour. The Company has
recently appointed Serge Laporte as Vice-President Sales and Marketing to spearhead activities in this market and will be
hiring key individuals to develop new channels of distribution. A media campaign geared towards the individual consumer and
businessperson was recently launched to create brand awareness. Boomerang currently has agreements with 14 insurance
companies providing discounts on insurance premiums and, in some cases, on deductibles to owners of certain vehicle types.
