| dramatischer Kursverfall von MVK... aber: Gestern gab es Zahlen vom ebenfalls abgestuerzten (-50%!) Konkurrenten Lone Star (LSS): http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/010716/dam065.html ...und was bringt LSS: exzellente Zahlen! und einen positiven Ausblick fuer das 2. Hj! Nicht, dass das dem Kurs momentan hilft, aber es laesst fuer MVK immerhin noch etwas Hoffnung :-) |

| aus Lone Stars (LSS) news: " Rhys J. Best, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, ``There were 1,293 active rigs last Friday with 83% drilling for natural gas. While we are pleased with continuing activity levels, imports remain in excess of 30% of domestic OCTG shipments. President Bush's Steel Global Safeguard (Section 201) Investigation, which involves 31 product groups including OCTG and began June 22, 2001, may adjust the level of imports. Line pipe is already covered under a prior Section 201 administrative order. Although line pipe shipments were up slightly in the second quarter, we still expect more significant line pipe activity in the second half of this year. Our doubling of finned tubular production capacity in Monterrey, Mexico was completed during the quarter and we are continuing our capacity expansion in Canada to meet increased demand for combined-cycle electrical power generation in North America.'' | die (erwartet) guten Zahlen und ein "normaler", relativ positiver Ausblick fuer den Rest von 2001. MVK (und competitor LSS) sind gute Kaeufe auf dem derzeitigen Niveau. Ich werde demnaechst MVK fuer das Auslandsdepot nachkaufen! Mib |
